Thoguh school should be one of the safest of places for a child...It isn't anymore. There isn't a place you can go anymore, that will give you the feeling of security.
This mroning, at just about 8:30A.M., an hour before school starts, Jaime Gough was found in the bathroom of the second floor of Southwood Middle School. Unable to call for help, he lay bleeding and struggling for life. Two boys found him clinging to his strength, running for help. Perametics announced him dead on the scene...At the time, it was unsure if this was a Suicide or Homocide. No weapon found with the body, however, made it easy to tell. The jagged cut was the only reason to think it a suicide.
He was a student under the Magnet Program, for his ability to play to Violin. This would have been his last year in Middle School. Instead of maybe going somewhere in his life with his strong ability, it will no go unheard...
The student who killed him was said to have actually gone to Period One, perhaps even Period Two, covered in blood.
Students were on Lock Down, no one was permitted to switch classes or even leave their class. They were not informed as to why this was going on, and not permitted to contact their parents though the school had alerted parents (who crowded outside).
Tomorrow classes will be visited by Psych.'s, so students may talk about their feelings on today's events as well as being given a better explanation.
Our neighbors came over last night. I thoguht it was to let my mother know Elene had finally died. So I wasn't thinking too much of it. Instead, my mum came in about 5 minutes later to tell me, that Jerry had hit Jake. My dog of 12 years, was dead...I don't know what kind of work I might do during this period of time.
